These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Local League marketing website and league management app (the “Service”), provided by [LEGAL ENTITY NAME] (“we”, “us”, “our”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
- You are responsible for keeping your account details secure and for all activity under your account.
- You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
Leagues, seasons and payment
League administrators pay for each season they run on the Service. Fees, what a season includes, and any refund terms are set out at the point of purchase [insert your payment and refund terms]. League administrators are responsible for the accuracy of the data they upload and for ensuring they have the right to provide any personal data they add about their players.
Acceptable use
When using the Service you agree not to:
- Post or send content that is unlawful, abusive, harassing, defamatory, obscene or otherwise objectionable.
- Impersonate any person, or misrepresent your identity or affiliation.
- Use the Service to spam, harvest data, or send unsolicited messages.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service, or use it in any way that breaches applicable law.
Your content
You retain ownership of the content you submit (such as comments and messages). By submitting content you grant us a licence to host, store and display it as needed to operate the Service. You are responsible for the content you post and must have the rights to share it. We may remove content and suspend accounts that breach these Terms, and league administrators may moderate content within their leagues.
Player data
Where a league administrator uploads personal data about players, that administrator is responsible for having a lawful basis to do so. We process such data to provide the Service and as described in our Privacy Policy.
Our intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, branding and content we create, belongs to us and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute or create derivative works from it except as permitted by these Terms or by law.
Availability and disclaimers
We work hard to keep the Service running, but we provide it “as is” and “as available”. We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, and we may change, suspend or withdraw features at any time. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties not expressly stated in these Terms.
Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud). Subject to that, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, data or goodwill, and our total liability to you in connection with the Service is limited to the amount you paid us (if any) in the 12 months before the claim arose.
Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or where necessary to protect the Service or other users. On termination, the rights granted to you under these Terms end; provisions that by their nature should survive (such as liability and intellectual property) will continue to apply.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, ask you to review and accept the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
